Commissioned by the Durham Light Infantry Association, this is one of two sculptures honouring Victoria Cross winners from the DLI
"Dickie" Annand was 25 years old, and a Second Lieutenant in the 2nd Bn., The Durham Light Infantry, British Army during World War II when he became the first soldier in the Second World War to be awarded VC for outstanding bravery.Further details can be found at Wikpedia.org
The original was modelled in clay and is a faithful reproduction of both Richard Annand and of the uniform and insignia that he would have worn at the time.

Originally commissioned by Contour Mobel for their new factory in Bridgend, South Wales., this authentically modelled sculpture was purchased by the Mayor of South Shields for inclusion in the Durham mining tribute located in the Mayors reception rooms at the beautiful South Shields town hall
The original was modelled in wax and epitomises an early 19th Century coal miner and his son.
The figure is 900 mm in height excluding base and is beautifully crafted in a cold cast bronze with a dark stain patina.

Alfred Stradling John - known affectionately as Alfie John was the founder of Pontypridd Market. This bust was commissioned for use in the new Pub and Bistro; Alfred's opening near the market in Pontypridd.
The sculpture was modelled in wax to full life scale and captures both the subjects likeliness and character.
